Paris, the romantic city of love and the French capital. One of my favorite big cities of the world. Paris just has it all, great food, beautiful surroundings and just so much to do. Personally I have already been to Paris 6 times, including two times with my boyfriend when we had a cute romantic getaway. We always have the most amazing time when we are there. No wonder, as the city has some of the most romantic things to do in a city. Those activities I will be sharing with you as well as my love for Paris in this blog. So let’s get on to exploring the city of love!
Visit the Eiffel Tower
Kicking off our list with Paris’ most famous attraction, the Eiffel Tower. Although this one should be on every Paris list, it can also be a very romantic experience. How, you may ask? Well, let me tell you, as I really loved this experience personally. We were visiting the Eiffel Tower a bit later in the evening and got some drinks and snacks, the weather was nice, and at any moment the sparkling lights could go on. In the meantime, we were kinda picnicking in front of the Eiffel Tower. I think we easily sat there for 2 hours, just talking, playing some games, and enjoying an utterly romantic and unique view.
Visiting Paris and experiencing the Eiffel Tower at night is a must for any couple looking for a romantic adventure.
Boat Tour over La Seine
Paris does not only have many cute and cozy streets, but also an amazing river known as ‘La Seine’. Although you can already enjoy the water views with a nice walk, you can make it even extra fun with hopping on a boat tour. During the boat tour, you can enjoy stunning views of iconic landmarks such as Notre Dame, adding to the romantic atmosphere. Luckily Paris offers many different options for boat tours. Looking for some romantic vibes? Choose a boat tour at night time and watch the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower and the city for a truly romantic night.
Atelier des Lumières Parijs
Interested in visiting an art museum? Consider checking out Atelier des Lumières. Located in the city center of Paris, making it perfect accessible with the metro. The museum is showing different theme’s projected with big lights. The big rooms with beautiful artwork projected on the walls give a perfect space to get inspired and have a nice date time with your loved ones, making it one of the romantic places to visit in Paris. Atelier des Lumières is a perfect destination in Paris for couples looking to enjoy a romantic and artistic experience together.
Lunch at Le Recrutement
Getting food is always a good idea if you ask me! Paris offers more than enough places to enjoy a good local dish. Personally, I really love going to the restaurant called ‘Le Recrutement’. Located at the corner of a typical Paris street, giving you the total Paris package. Personal favorite? The croque monsieur! I have already tried it four times, so believe me when I say it’s really tasty! When visiting this specific restaurant, you also get a great view of The Eiffel Tower, making it a perfect photo spot and an ideal location for a romantic picnic.
For an even more memorable experience, consider staying at a romantic hotel nearby to enjoy breathtaking views and luxurious amenities.
Try-out a Photobooth
When talking about photo’s, you should for sure consider checking out one of Paris famous photo booths. The booths are located throughout the city. Keep in mind that you sometimes need to pay cash, not with all tough! Trying out a photo booth is not only a nice and fun activity but also a romantic thing to do, creating a unique memory of your Paris trip.
After capturing your memories in a photobooth, retreat to one of the many romantic hotels in Paris to unwind and enjoy the rest of your evening.
Explore area Montmartre
One of my favorite areas in Paris is definitely Montmartre. Take a romantic stroll through the city blocks and explore all the area has to offer. Check out famous spots such as the Sacre-Coeur and Place du Tertre, also being a great place to enjoy some food. Personally, I experienced that this specific area is very lively later in the day. I can already imagine here, walking around 8 PM, nice warm weather and my favorite company!
While in Montmartre, don’t miss the chance to visit Passage des Panoramas, a charming covered passage that offers a unique glimpse into Paris’ history and romance.
Disneyland Paris
You know what they say, go out with a boom! So because of that, my very last recommendation is of course, Disneyland Paris. Visiting this magic attraction park is fantastic with your date or partner. I did it myself and it is just such a nice experience. We had the most amazing time. I don’t think this tip needs even more explanation, visiting Disneyland is a memory of a lifetime, and great to combine with a trip to Paris due to its location, making it a perfect romantic getaway. For a perfect end to your romantic getaway, consider a wine tasting experience in one of the nearby vineyards.
I hope you go ahead with many lovely and romantic experiences in Paris. Although important to say that to have a romantic experience, you don’t even need a partner. Just as for all of the above tips. I would say, romantize life itself. If you are with friends, family or even alone, make sure you have a great time either way. That’s what I always try to do!
