This week not one of the our normal travel blogs. This time a new update regarding the start of (me and my partner) our digital nomad life. In this blog I will be telling you more about the latest updates but also about our future plans. With more then enough plans, let’s get right into it.
Update on my life in Vietnam
Well where do I begin? So if you might have read some of my earlier blogs regarding fulfilling our dreams and leaving the Netherlands. I’m very proud and excited to tell you that we made it happen! When I’m writing this blog I’m even on my way to central Vietnam. So crazy to realize that we are really on our way to our dream life. North Vietnam and northern Vietnam have such rich history and diverse geography, making our journey even more exciting.
With that being said, I also hope that by reading this blog you will get inspired to really follow your dreams and work hard for it. Because then you can definitely achieve anything you want. South Vietnam played a significant role during the Vietnam War and its reunification, adding another layer of depth to our adventure.
Believe me, I know. When I was just 12 years old, I always told my parents that I would leave my home country behind and move to a different country. As I child I was so sure that I would succeed, without even knowing how I would make it.
But then you get older, and sometimes you lose your goals out of sights. Maybe not even your goals but your big dreams. So when me and my boyfriend discussed both of our dreams, we know it was time to stop dreaming and start living, like really living. But where do you begin? We just started doing a lot of research ourselves. What do we need, where do we want to start our new life? So many new exciting things to think about. Although I can imagine that it can be quite a lot. That’s why I decided to create my own FREE Digital Nomad Guide. For the people who are inspired or interested by the lifestyle and would just like to learn more about it. All the information packed in one guide.
New Laptop Life
So that is the start of our new life. As I said earlier, we are currently in the airplane on our way to our first destination being Da Nang, Vietnam. We have both never been to Vietnam before but we are so super excited to explore this amazing country. Ho Chi Minh City, with its rich historical significance, is also on our list.
We will be staying in Da Nang for a total of three months. We decided that it would the perfect base to still be able to work online in great conditions while also having the perfect base for many fun activities. So although we will be staying in Da Nang, we are of course going to explore other surrounding places like Hoi An, Hanoi, the central highlands, and the Red River Delta. Definitely many new, fun and exciting blogs coming up! The Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam, known for its geographical and agricultural significance, is also a must-visit.
Work Updates
Besides new inspiring blogs, you can expect a lot more. As you might know we have been active on Youtube for the last few months. Our latest uploads mostly regarded beautiful Dutch cities. If you have a new laptop, make sure to follow our tips for taking care of it to ensure its longevity. I really liked to make videos about places that I have been before for many times. But now time has come to make new videos about places like Vietnam. So that is one thing that you can definitely expect for Otexpertise.
Besides that I have also recently set-up a free newsletter called Nomad News. A newsletter with weekly tips and tricks on being and becoming a digital nomad, including the importance of keeping your operating system up to date. I think you can imagine how excited I am to take a step further to my childhood dreams. It just really feels like the right step at the right time. So I would say, stay tuned for many exciting adventures to come, here on Otexpertise!
